MANCHESTER, CT β€” A major safety and logistical improvement has been proposed for the Manchester Landfill.

The landfill is situated at 311 Olcott St.

Municipal planning officials Tuesday morning said that a Planning and Zoning Commission application has been submitted for the construction of a "mechanically stabilized" earthen berm "wall" at the site. A wetlands permit would be required in addition to the typical erosion sedimentation control plan approval.
