The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

Working through and hopefully coming out of the pandemic is the most pressuring issue. We must make sure our citizens and businesses have the resources to be healthy both physically and mentally as well as the means to survive financially. I will continue to work with town staff and departments as well as state and federal leaders to to make sure we have resources and programs to assist those in our community.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

I believe I am the most experienced elected official on the ballot. I have been on the board of directors since 2009 helping to lead our town out of a recession and a pandemic as we become one of the largest suburbs in Hartford county. I believe in governing for all people. Most importantly, I am passionate about Manchester and I work daily to make it a great place to live, work, and go to school and worship.

Accomplishments:

I am proud of so many things we have accomplished over the past 11 years. We have passed 2 school referendums reconstructing our schools so that every child will be educated in 21st century classrooms. We have improved our downtown district. We continue to improve our parks and trails offering quality recreational activities. We have had major capital improvements in our infrastructure, offered more social service programs, and increased financial support in public safety and education. Most importantly, and we have been able to do so much without putting the burden on the back of the tax payers. And we strive daily to be a more inclusive and welcoming community.

Other issues:

We are committed to moving forward with a new library proposal and partnering with the redevelopment agency on continued development in the Broad Street area. We will work closely with sustainability committee on green initiatives. We will support the board of education goals of focusing on student success.

What else would you like voters to know about you?

I have the experience and the heart to serve everyone in our community. We will have our challenges and but together we will create more opportunities here in Manchester!
