JCPenney Hiring At Its Manchester Facility

MANCHESTER — Retailer JCPenney said Thursday it could add up to 100 seasonal positions at its Manchester logistics center as it gears up for the holiday shopping season.

According to a news release, the company has scheduled a hiring event for Tuesday, Sept. 10, during which time the management team will conduct in-person interviews and make employment offers to qualified candidates on the spot.

According to a posted job description, supply chain associates are responsible for performing stock-handling tasks, including packing, unpacking, banding and assembling merchandise, as well as preparing cartons for processing and inspecting cartons to reflect accurate quantities and condition.

Candidates can apply at jcpcareers.com or at one of the applicant kiosks inside the facility prior to attending the event.

JCPenney offers associates a full associate discount up to 25 percent and an "inclusive team environment," according to the job description.

The Sept. 10 hiring event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the JCPenney Logistics Center, 1339 Tolland Turnpike, in Manchester.
