As I have already shared in a couple of previous blogs, that I am looking to hire 2 additional loan officers. Unfortunately, the quality of those applying has not been good enough to get my attention. A couple of the resume’s made the point, that they are a “People Person”.
I wonder what the rest of us must be. I have heard many in the real estate industry use the sale terminology. I want to let those who use this statement know, “It isn’t enough”.
I know a number of folks in the mortgage and real estate business, that don’t necessary have the best bedside manner, that are damn good at what they do and do extremely well. I also know plenty of the so called people persons, that don’t do much business.
There is no simple answer, but the goal is close the loan or real estate transaction for the client. Treat them with the greatest of care and respect and treat each client as if as it was going to be your last. There is much more, but this is a good start.
