Kathleen McNamara, 91, Inspiring Grandmother of 10

Kathleen B. (nee McGowan) McNamara, of Manchester, beloved wife of John G. McNamara died Friday Jan. 2, 2014 at her home. She was born June 3, 1923.

She is also survived by her loving children and their families, Kathleen McNamara Hedtke and her husband James, Kevin P. McNamara and his wife Tina, Terence J. McNamara and his wife Susan, Thomas M. McNamara and his wife Annet, Dr. Margaret McNamara and her husband Dr. Jeffrey Clayton, Patricia McNamara Philip and her husband John, and her daughter-in-law Mary Parla McNamara.

She was predeceased by her son Brian. She also leaves ten grandchildren, Sean and Matthew Hedtke, Anna McNamara-Heck, Brian L., Colin and his wife Erin, Conor, and Megan McNamara, and Maeve, Liam, and Fiona Clayton; and two great-grandsons Seamus and Wilder McNamara.

Kathleen was a wonderful, inspiring woman who was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 W. Center St., Manchester on Saturday, Jan. 10 from 9 to 10 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Church 736 Middle Turnpike Manchester, followed by burial in St. Bridget Cemetery, Manchester.
