Laced Candies Confiscated During Manchester Traffic Stop

The gummy bear candies were laced with THC, a main ingredient found in cannabis.

MANCHESTER, CT — A Manchester man who was pulled over for a routine traffic stop was found to be in possession of more than 23 ounces of gummy bear candies containing tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, according to the Hartford Courant.

Jaunleomar Hernandez-Cruz, 28, ran a stop sign around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, and during the course of the traffic stop, marijuana seeds and stems were plainly visible. A search of the vehicle yielded 16 bags, each containing 10 laced gummy bears, as well as other paraphernalia.

THC is the main mind-altering ingredient found in the cannabis plant, according to www.livescience.com.
