Large Snake Appears in Hartford Home

A Hartford family received an unwelcome and frightening visitor Thursday morning, in the form of a python.

The snake was discovered inside a home on Deerfield Avenue. Hartford Animal Control was called to the scene to remove the reptile, police said.

The owner of the snake, who lives on nearby Lenox Street, learned of his pet’s disappearance on television, and was reunited with it later that morning.

No one was injured.
