MANCHESTER, CT — Leaf collection season has begun in Manchester for 2020.

The Area 1 vacuum collection is under way. Area 2 vacuum collection is slated to begin
Nov. 30.

Residents are being asked to rake leaves to the front of their respective properties, but ooff sidewalks.

Collection dates are subject to change due to weather or other "unforeseen
circumstances," town officials said.

In addition to the vacuum program, residents can also set out paper leaf bags for
curbside collection on the day of their normal trash and recycling collections.

Residents may drop off loose or paper bagged leaves at the Manchester Transfer Station
composting area year-round from 7:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. During hours when the transfer station is closed, residents may drop off loose or paper bagged leaves at the parking lot at 263 Olcott Street from through December 31. No brush or plastic bags are allowed and contractors are not allowed to use the drop site.
