MANCHESTER, CT — A liquidation sale has begun at the doomed Sears location at the Shoppes at Buckland Hills mall.

SC 360 Capital Partners, the company overseeing closing sales at Sears stores nationwide, has the Buckland sale listed on its website. It is currently presiding over six others in White Plains, NY; Grandville, MI; Glen Burnie, MD; Concord, NC; Pasadena, TX; and Myrtle Beach, SC.

A staff member answering the phone at the Manchester store confirmed the location was closing, but could not say when it would be shuttered for good.

Advertisements were offering "inventory blowout" sales of between 20 and 70 percent off.

Parent company Sears Holdings Inc. first announced a store closing plan in 2018 as it became mired in financial difficulties. The Buckland store had been spared from the closing list several times, but officials for the chain did say the closings could spill into 2020.
