Little Bob: Discount Furniture Empire Is 'Open And Expanding'
Manchester-based Bob's Discount Furniture Monday issued a statement to clear any confusion that it might not be thriving.

MANCHESTER, CT — Little Bob had a big message for consumers Monday evening — his furniture empire is "open and growing."
Manchester-based Bob's Discount Furniture released a passionate statement to dispel apparent reports that linked it with clothing retailer Bob's Stores, which announced last week that all its stores would be closing amid a failed Chapter 11 attempt.
The statement from Bob's Discount Furniture was released at about 6 p.m.

It said, "To clear up any confusion based on erroneous mentions, apparel retailer Bob's Stores is closing all of its locations. There is no relationship whatsoever between Bob's Stores and leading furniture retailer Bob’s Discount Furniture. Bob's Discount Furniture continues to thrive."
Bob's Discount Furniture currently boasts with 177 stores in 24 states and an additional 12 stores are slated to open by the end of 2024, corporate officials said.

Founded in 1991, Bob's Discount Furniture is considered one of the fastest growing furniture retailers in the country.
The company also offers a different shopping experience with stores that feature cafes offering complimentary gourmet coffee, ice cream, cookies and candy.
Bob's ads are also one of the most unique in retail. They began with the original Bob — Bob Kaufman — telling everyone to "come on down," but now feature "Little Bob" a miniature version of the founder who stars in vastly more adventurous commercials made at a studio inside the Manchester headquarters.
