A trio of local restaurant chains will be coming to the Buckland Hills area!
Flatbread Company will be opening this spring in the former home of Nix Cocktails in South Windsor. Nix quietly closed in May of 2017 after Evergreen Walk filed a lawsuit over backrent. Flatbread Company serves pizza from an iconic clay oven and ,as the name implies, other flatbread items. Flatbread Company has location spread across New England.
Joey Garlic’s will be opening in the former home of Carrabba’s in Manchester! Carrabba’s suddenly closed, along with sister restaurant Bonefish Grill, in February 2017 due to a downsizing in the brand. Joey Garlic’s serves pizza along with other Italian style dishes. Joey Garlic’s has locations in Newington, Farmington, and Joey’s Pizza in West Hartford.

Red Heat Tavern will open in the former Bonefish Grill location in South Windsor! Bonefish closed in February 2017 when the brand downsized. Red Heat Tavern is owned by the founder of Burton’s Grill, which is also located in Evergreen Walk. Red Heat Tavern has locations throughout New England!
Bonus: Mediterranean Grille opened last month in the Buckland Hills Mall. The reviews of the restaurant are good. A spot of improvement is the lack of a digital footprint (i.e. website, Facebook, online menu) which is essential to name recognition and brand awareness. Besides that the restaurant looks beautiful and modern; and the food looks delicious!
