MANCHESTER, CT — A 21-year-old Manchester man is in custody on bonds totaling $1.105 million after his arrest on 11 outstanding warrants this week, state police said.

On Monday, Joseph Anthony Bovino was extradited from the Berkshire County House of Correction in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, by detectives from the Eastern District Major Crime Squad, according to a report.

The most animated incident involving Bovino took place on Nov. 23, according to reports. That day, a trooper was positioned at the Interstate-84 Exit 67 eastbound off ramp at the Vernon-Tolland line. The trooper was looking for Bovino, whose vehicle is described in a report as a "very rare and specific" black Honda C2000 sports car. The 11 warrants were active as far back as the fall, state police said.

The driver then slowed and hid in a cluster of other vehicles, according to a report.

The car sped up again and entered Massachusetts, state police said. Bovino was identified as the driver, state police said.
