Man Facing Gun, Assault Charges After Buckland Incident

A man was charged Sunday night in a case that began with an assault complaint in the Buckland Hills retail district of Manchester.

MANCHESTER, CT — An East Hartford man was charged with first-degree robbery and carrying a pistol without a permit Sunday night in a case that began with an assault complaint in the Buckland Hills retail district, a police report shows.

According to a Hartford Courant story, Police were told a man and woman were fighting in a car at the 440 Buckland Hills Drive Smashburger and the car then proceeded to the apartments at 465 Buckland Hills Drive.

Christopher Acosta, 24, of 43 High Court, was located behind the Best Buy store and a loaded, 9 mm handgun in was found in a dumpster, the Courant story indicated.
