Worker Killed in Fall From Tower In Manchester: Police
Authorities are investigating a fatal fall from a communications tower in Manchester.

MANCHESTER, CT — A worker was killed in a fall from a communications tower Friday in Manchester, police said.
The incident took place at 2:30 p.m. at Marcus Communications on Mitchell Drive, according to police. Police and fire officials were at the scene.
The man was 34 years old, police said. The man was a contractor working on the tower and he fell from an "unknown height," police said.

The tower was described in police communications as 80 feet high.
The man was found unresponsive and the incident is being investigated as "a fatal industrial accident," police said.

The federal Occupational Safety and Heath Administration went to the scene to investigate, according to police.
Police and fire officials had the area closed off well into Friday afternoon.
