Man Shot By Manchester Police During Domestic Incident

MANCHESTER, CT — A man involved in a domestic dispute was shot by a Manchester police officer Sunday evening, authorities said.

The man's injuries were not life-threatening, according to an incident report.

The domestic incident occurred at 6:35 p.m. Sunday at 243 North Main St., and when officers arrived at the scene, they encountered a man and woman yelling, according to an incident report. A confrontation ensued between the man and an officer and the man was shot by the officer, according to an incident report.

The man was transported to Hartford Hospital, according to an incident report.

The Office of Inspector General is investigating the incident. The names of those involved were not released by police as of Monday morning.
