Man Wanted In Manchester Crash Case Tries To Flee Cops
A man with an outstanding warrant for a winter crash in Manchester tried to run from police on Wednesday.
MANCHESTER, CT — A man wanted for his involvement in a wintertime crash in Manchester tried to flee officers on foot Wednedsday, police said.
The incident involving 32-year-old Courtney Newman took place at about 10:45 a.m. on Spencer Street, police said. He ran away from an officer trying to arrest him on a warrant, but was quickly chased down, police said.
Newman has been arrested several times over the past few years, police said.

This time around, he was charged with evading responsibility, failure to drive right and an insurance violation, police said. The crash that led to the warrant took place on Feb. 23 on Packard Street, according to a police.
