Manchester 8th District Fire Department to Host Officer Training Course
"Beyond Hoses & Helmets" is an educational training course that delivers real world expertise through an interactive educational experience

Pierce Fire Apparatus and the Volunteer and Combination Officers Section (VCOS) of the The International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) will present Beyond Hoses & Helmets, an educational training course that delivers real world expertise through an interactive educational experience designed by practicing chief officers. The Manchester 8th District Fire Department will host the two-day course on Saturday, September 24, 2016 and Sunday, September 25, 2016 at its Station 2 located at 361 Hilliard Street in Manchester, CT.
Created for up-and-coming officers, company officers, and chief officers, the class is beneficial to all ranks and is open to all fire departments in Connecticut. Taught by instructors with real-life expertise, the course uses curricula developed by nationally-recognized fire service leaders from volunteer and combination departments across the United States with technical support provided by the U.S. Fire Administration.
