MANCHESTER, CT — A dispatcher and some first-responders helped bring one of Manchester's newest residents into the world in Thanksgiving morning.

While many residents were at the Manchester Road Race or starting to cook their annual Turkey Day feasts, Manchester Emergency Dispatcher Renee Tuttle was guiding the delivery of a baby over the phone, police said.

The baby was brought into the world at 10:19 a.m., about two minutes before Connor Mantz set a new race record (21:04 after a 10 a.m. start), police said.
