Manchester Driver Charged After Wrong-Way Highway Incident

A wrong-way driving incident led to charges against a Manchester woman, state police said.

WINDSOR, CT — A Manchester woman has been charged after a wrong-way driving incident on Interstate-91, state police said.

The incident took place at 2:45 a.m. Sunday on the southbound side of I-91 near Exit 35 in Windsor, according to a report.

Crystal Santos, 34, was charged with reckless driving, driving under the influence, driving the wrong way on a divided highway, and second-degree reckless endangerment, a report indicates.

State police released a video of the arrest:

Santos was released on $15,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Hartford Superior Court May 22, state police said.
