Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?

No

Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?

I believe the current controlling party has failed this town. There has to be a change if things are to get better.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Safety, Education and Taxes. There is no single issue because there is a diverse group of people living in this town. Safety is supporting the police department and giving them credit for the hard work they do while being understaffed. Our teachers and children must be better supported by the Board of Education. No teacher should be fearful of retaliation and no student should be denied quality education. Taxes have to be addressed with an economic plan that would help this town to grow and prosper and not burden the tax payers.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

With the Republican Party we are in agreement on the key issues, Safety, Education and Taxes. The disagreement comes from the Democrat's.

If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?

The Democratic control Board of Directors has not put the residents, the children or the business of this town as priority. They have made many bad decisions and it has costs us all.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

For me the most important issue is safety. I would also like to address issues of homelessness, food insecurity, how to best serve the elderly that still live at home.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have been a receptionist for 23 years, and with this job I have had to look at things from various viewpoints. I have managed and mastered budgeting and check book balancing. I am skilled at communicating with self-control, use of facts and a willingness to listen to opposing viewpoints in a effort to find a middle ground.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Own your mistakes, don't get a big head over your successes.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I am not a politician, nor have I ever run for office before. I love this town, the people who live and work here, and I don't like the direction I have seen this town going to. I believe my ability to communicate, to look at things from different points of view, knowing how to budget makes me a good candidate for the Board of Directors.
