Manchester Fire Displaces 13 Families
A fire broke out at a Manchester residence on Tuesday.
MANCHESTER, CT — A fire on Charter Oak Street displaced 13 families in Manchester on Tuesday, according to the American Red Cross.
The fire broke out at about 4 p.m., firefighters said in a Twitter post. The basement was the focal point, according to the Tweet.
The Red Cross was on hand to assist 20 adults and 12 children with comfort kits containing personal care items like toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items the residents might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.
