Manchester received Track 1 funding from the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CTDEEP) for this project. The funding was provided through CTDEEP's Climate Resilience Fund grant program. This grant enabled the town to engage a qualified consulting engineer, Thornton Tomasetti Inc., to lead the planning efforts.
The solutions identified through this comprehensive plan will help short-list potential projects. The projects could then be eligible for funding grants through Track 2 of the same Climate Resilience Fund program. The overall goal is to enhance Manchester's ability to withstand and recover from significant weather events.
