Manchester Homicide Victim Identified, Investigation Ongoing

Manchester police are actively investigating a shooting incident as a homicide after identifying the victim.

MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester police are actively investigating a shooting incident on Monday as a homicide after identifying the victim as a local man.

On Tuesdsay night, police said the man killed was 45-year-old Joseph Swan of Manchester.

The shooting was reported at 1:25 p.m. Monday at 158 Eldridge St. Police said an "adult male" was found at the scene with a gunshot wound in the head.

Sawn was taken to Manchester Memorial Hospital and was pronounced dead a short time later, police said.

Police said on Tuesday they were "actively following leads" in the case and were considering it a homicide.
