Manchester Hosting Census Job Fair

Manchester is hosting a a 2020 Census Job Fair next month.

MANCHESTER, CT — The town of Manchester, through the town's Complete Count Committee, and the United States Census Bureau is offering a 2020 Census Job Fair next month.

The fait is scheduled for Saturday Oct. 5, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at Manchester Public Library.

The goal of the 2020 Census is to "count everyone once, only once, and in the right place," Census officials said in announcing Manchester as a regional host in April.

The added, "Given Manchester’s population size, the diversity of its residents, and strategic location between both urban and rural areas of Northern Connecticut, the town is an ideal recruitment area for 2020 Census positions and we hope Manchester residents interested in this opportunity will attend."

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the importance of the Census, available job opportunities, and to apply in person.

A representative from the United States Census Bureau will be there to assist.
