Manchester Little League World Series Event Rescheduled
Manchester officials have rescheduled an evening of ceremonies to honor the local team that made it to the Little League World Series.

MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester officials have rescheduled an evening of ceremonies to honor the local team that made it to the Little League World Series.
The event is now scheduled for Sept. 9 at Northwest Park. It was previously slated for Sept. 2 but was moved because of the remnants of Hurricane Ida.
The team will open the event with a procession onto the Ed Dettore Little League Field at 6:15 p.m. and the ceremonies will officially begin at 6:30 p.m., town officials said.

The park is located at 448 Tolland Turnpike.
Manchester won the state title and finished second in the New England Region to advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA. Manchester lost to a pair of traditional powerhouses — Hawaii and New Jersey.
