Manchester Man, 26, Arrested After Stabbing Incident on Foster Street

The Spruce Street man accused of the stabbing has been charged with first-degree assault and breach of peace.

Manchester police arrested Edward Walker, a 26-year-old town resident accused of stabbing someone he knows in a dispute Sunday at a home on Foster Street, according to news reports.

Walker stabbed a 34-year-old man several times, seriously injuring him, although the wounds don’t threaten the victim’s life, according to police, the NBC Connecticut TV station website reported.

Walker, a Spruce Street resident, was initially held on $350,000 when he was arrested Tuesday on charges of first-degree assault and breach of peace, the Hartford Courant reported. He was scheduled to appear Wednesday morning in state Superior Court in Manchester, according to the Courant.
