Manchester Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Woman: Milford PD

MILFORD, CT — A Manchester man is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Milford, police said. On July 7, the Milford Police Department's Special Investigations Unit started an investigation into a sexual assault complaint, police said.

An adult female victim said she was assaulted and threatened while staying with a man at a Bridgeport Avenue motel, police said.

Investigation led to the arrest of Jose Calderon, 61, of Eva Drive in Manchester, who is accused and charged with third-degree sexual assault, second-degree strangulation, second-degree threatening, and disorderly conduct.

He was held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
