Manchester Man Assaults Child: Vernon Cops

VERNON, CT — A Manchester man is due in court on April 25 to answer an accusation that he is responsible for facial injuries to a child, police said.

Stephen Kelton, 38, of 462 North Main St., Manchester, has been charged with risk of injury to a child and third-degree assault for the incident, according an arrest report. He surrendered on Friday for the March 28 incident after Vernon detectives secured a warrant for his arrest, a report indicates.

Police records show the child, 7, sustained facial injuries in the incident.
