Manchester Man Killed in Vermont Plane Crash

A Manchester man was killed in a plane that crashed en route from Vermont to Oxford.

BENNINGTON, VT. — A Manchester man has been identified as the pilot of a small plane that crashed into a wooded area on Bald Mountain in the Green Mountains of Vermont Sunday, Vermont state police said.

Ramsey Sampson Ah-Nee, 31 of Manchester, a pilot with more than five years experience, was killed in the crash, Vermont state police said Monday. He was the only one aboard, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

The plane was en route from Bennington, VT, to Oxford Airport in Connecticut.

State police said the search for the wreckage began at about 6 p.m. Sunday after the FAA reported it had lost radar contact with the plane.

Search teams located the wreckage just after 1 a.m. Monday, according to state police.
