Manchester Man With Long Conviction Record Accused of Violating Probation in Vernon Case

The man has a double-digit conviction record.

VERNON, CT — A man who has averaged one conviction a year over the past nine years in cases out of Vernon and Manchester was arrested for skipping out on court in his latest case, police said.

Cloyd Lee, 40, who currently lives at 58 Queens Court in Manchester, surrendered at Vernon police headquarters on Feb. 23 after a warrant was issued for his arrest for violating probation, according to law enforcement records.

Vernon police said it is from a 2015 conviction for second-degree threatening, resisting police and breach of peace.

He has had eight court proceedings since 2008 in Vernon alone, according to police records. The state judicial system database shows 10 convictions for Lee since 2008 for crimes ranging from assault to breach of peace in Manchester and Vernon.

Lee posted a $50,000 bond and is due in court on March 7, police records indicate.
