Manchester Man Nabbed With Bags of Heroin in Vernon Sting

A Manchester man is facing several charges after a drug sting in Vernon, police said.

VERNON, CT — A Manchester man was caught in a Vernon narcotics sting with heroin and crack cocaine, police said.

Daniel Thomas, 36, of 90 Summer St., Manchester, was caught selling drugs to members of the East Central Narcotics Task force on No. 22, police said.

The sale was set on at Grove and Hale Street in Vernon. police said.

Thomas had on him 30 bags of heroin and about 5 grams of crack cocaine police said.

He was charged with possession of narcotics, the sale of drugs, the use of drug paraphernalia, interfering and evidence tampering, police said.

He was held on a $250,000 until his court appearance on Nov. 24, police said.

He posted the bond and is due back before a judge on Dec. 5, according to judicial system records.
