Manchester Man Tosses 'Contraband,' Fights With Cops: Report
A Manchester man managed to throw away a concealed object, but could not elude police after a traffic stop, police said.

VERNON/MANCHESTER, CT — A Manchester man managed to throw away a concealed object, but could not elude police after a traffic stop and ensuing struggle in Vernon, a report indicates.
At 1:31 a.m. on Tuesday, police stopped a white Honda Civic for a noise violation on Bolton Road, according to an arrest report.
The driver, identified in a report as 36-year-old Juan Vazquez, of Manchester, was asked to remove his shoes and socks during questioning and then tried to conceal something he had hidden in his sock, according to a report.

He then threw the "contraband" into some nearby woods and it became lost, police said in a report. Vazquez then fought with police but was eventually subdued, according to a report.
He was charged with interfering, a vehicular noise violation and driving while under suspension, according to an arrest report.
