Manchester Names New Assistant General Manager
Kasia Purciello has been named Manchester's new assistant general manager.

MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester General Manager Steve Stephanou Friday announced the selection of Kasia Purciello as the town's new assistant general manager.
Purciello has been serving as the assistant town manager in Enfield since February 2019.
In Enfield, she has been overseeing several municipal departments and has been assisting with the town's budget operations and labor relations, Stephanou said.

Puricello managed Enfield’s 2021 Facilities Consolidation Plan and spearheaded the town's sustainability initiatives.

Prior to Enfield, Puricello was a budget specialist at the Connecticut Office of Policy and Management.

She holds a Master of Public Administration and Certificate in Public Financial Management from the University of Connecticut, where she also received a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Human Development & Family Studies, with a Spanish minor.
"Ms. Purciello’s experience managing a full-service municipal organization, a strong background in public finance and administration, and passion for effective and inclusive local government made her stand out in the selection process," Stephanou said. "I am extremely excited for Kasia to join the town
administration’s leadership team and know she will be a vital part of helping ensure Manchester remains a thriving, inclusive, and sustainable community."
As assistant manager, Puricello will be responsible for assisting Stephanou in overseeing all administrative and operational aspects of the town, including 10 departments and 653 municipal employees. The position will "manage core services, projects, budgets, and organizational initiatives, working closely with the general manager, mayor, Manchester Board of Directors, and the greater Manchester community to guide the organization into the future," he said.
Puricello said she's up to the challenge.

As someone who shares the town’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, I am excited about helping to effectively engage and serve all members of the Manchester community, and do so in an effective, efficient, and inclusive manner."
Purciello’s official start date is scheduled for April 4.
