Manchester Native Named To Eastern Athletic Hall
A Manchester native and Eastern Connecticut State University Soccer All-American has been named to the school's athletic hall of fame.

WILLIMANTIC, CT — One of only two All-America selections through the first 59 seasons of the Eastern Connecticut State University men’s soccer program, Kyle Bedini (Class of 2009) is the fifth and final announced 2019 inductee into the Eastern Athletics Alumni Hall of Fame.
A Manchester native, Bedini was a four-year player between 2005 and 2008, and a three-year starter on defense who played on the program’s first-ever Little East Conference playoff championship team as a junior.
As a senior, he earned second-team NSCAA All-America and first-team all-region accolades, repeated as a first-team all-conference selection, was named to the NEISL All-Star Game and as the department’s Male Athlete-of-theYear.

Previously-announced members of the five-person Class of 2019 were Molly Rathbun ,(class of 2012, softball/volleyball) of Hebron, Marc DiGiovanni (class of 2003, men’s lacrosse) of Wilton, Mike Susi (1998, baseball) of Waterford and Jennifer (Ferrari) Hynes Class of 2005 women’s soccer).
The 26th induction ceremony and social is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19 at 4 p.m. at the Student Center Café and Betty R. Tipton Room.
