Manchester Obituary: Henry Choinere, 79

Condolences to his family and friends.

Henry R. Choinere, of Newington, entered the Lord’s home on October 6, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born October 30, 1935 in Hartford and went to school in Manchester and Plainville, however lived most of his life in Southington, where he raised his two children. Over the years, he worked for General Electric of Plainville, Atrax of Newington, Apostle & Nelson of West Hartford and Empties & Redeemit of Hartford.

The job he would be remembered for the most was watching his family and friend’s children. Henry always made himself available to all of us without notice. He will be deeply missed by his daughter Lynn Randall, son-in-law Chris and their sons Schuyler and Kyle of West Hartford. His son James Choinere, daughter-in-law Aimee and their children Lauren and Bohdan of Portland.

Henry’s love of photography not only captured many of his family and friend’s life’s memories but was often a fixture at numerous Southington High School sporting events. His photos were commonly seen in the town’s local newspaper, The Observer. His generosity in delivering these photos to everyone has filled many family photo albums.

Henry was an active member of Saint Matthew Church, Bristol, where a Memorial Mass will be held in his honor Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. There will be no calling hours.
