
Marie E. (Campanello) Rivers, 88, of Manchester, beloved mother, grandmother great-grandmother and great-great grandmother peacefully passed away on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Fox Hill Rehabilitation Center.
Marie was born on March 6, 1927 in Hartford, daughter of the late John and Vinnie (D’Arola) Campanello. She was a Communicant of St. Bridget Church in Manchester and a member of the AARP. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, going to the casino and she loved the outdoors.
Marie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Frances Rivers of Sacramento, CA, six daughters and five sons-in-law; Janet and Edward Carini of Manchester, Barbara McKendry of Vernon, Pat and Don Sauer of South Windsor, Joyce and Gary Renna of Wells, ME, Lorri and Rory Kibbe of Athens, ME and Bette and Jerry Barth of Ashford and her brother, John Campanello and his wife, Pat of Wethersfield. She also leaves her fifteen loving grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter and several nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her parents Marie was predeceased by her sister Rose Doucette and her brother Michael Campanello.

Marie’s family would like to extend their gratitude to all the staff at Fox Hill Center for their kind and compassionate care.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 9:30-11:00 am at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St. Manchester. Burial will be in East Cemetery, Manchester.
