Manchester Obituary: Walter Foley, Sr., 71

Walter T. Foley Sr. 71 of Manchester formerly of Hartford, beloved husband of Patricia (Busha) Foley, for almost 50 years, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at his home.

Walter was born November 25, 1944 in Hartford, son of the late Robert J. Foley Sr. and Dorothy (Henderling) Foley. He was raised in Hartford and resided most of his adult life in Manchester, where he operated Walt's Painting and Wallpapering. He was an avid sports fan. The Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and Dallas Cowboys were his favorites.

In addition to his wife Patricia, Walter is survived by a son, Walter T. Foley Jr. and his wife Chantelle of Vernon, a daughter, Deanna Foley of Manchester, a godson, Daniel, three grandsons, Nicholas, Shawn, and Kevin Foley, four brothers, Gary Foley, Timothy Foley, Daniel Foley, all of Windsor Locks, Thomas Foley of Massachusetts, a sister, Elaine Morin of Manchester many nieces, nephews and many friends of Bill W. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Patricia and three brothers, Richard, Michael and Robert Jr.

A prayer service will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 11am at Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center Street Manchester. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Windsor Locks. Family and friends may call Tuesday, April 12 from 4-8 pm at the funeral home.
