Manchester Police Blotter: July 26-30

The following arrests as reported by the Manchester Police Department are accurate as of July 31, 2012. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

July 30

Sharlene Moeller, no given age, of 42 Deerfield Drive, turned herself in to Manchester Police on an outstanding warrant for breach of peace. She was held in lieu of $2,500 bond, and was due to be arraigned today in Manchester Superior Court.

Carlos Rivera-Gonzalez, no given age, of 21 Ridgewood St., and George A. Johnson, no given age, of 221 School St., were both arrested at 1:38 a.m. after police saw them pushing a scooter along the street before attempting to “ditch” it in an alleyway. Police determined that the scooter was stolen. Rivera-Gonzalez was charged with conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny. He was released on $5,000 non-surety bond and is due in Superior Court on Aug. 14. Johnson was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree larceny, and criminal trespass. He was released on $25,000 bond, and is due in court on Aug. 14.

July 29

Venetia Esteen, no given age, of 465 Buckland Hills Drive, Apt. 26314, was arrested at 2:38 a.m. on charges of driving under the influence following a motor vehicle stop. She was charged with driving under the influence and several motor vehicle infractions. She was released on $2,500 bond and is due in Superior Court on Aug. 13.

Jose Luis Jimenez, no given age, of Los Angeles, CA, was arrested at 2:36 a.m. after police say he peeled out of a parking lot at 100 East Center St. and was intoxicated and trying to fight with nearby residents. He was charged with second-degree breach of peace, driving under the influence, and reckless driving.

Jonathan Rodriguez, no given age, of 81 Spruce St., was arrested at 11:55 pm. and charged with third-degree larceny and various motor vehicle charges. He was released on $10,000 bond and is due in Superior Court on Aug. 9.

David Engram, of East Hartford, was arrested at 7:57 p.m. after police say he followed his ex-girlfriend in his car and then threw bolts at her car, damaging it. He was charged with two counts of second-degree breach of peace, throwing objects at motor vehicles, third-degree criminal mischief, and third-degree stalking. He was held in lieu of $50,000 bond and was arraigned in Superior Court on July 30.

Jose Martinez, no given age, of 34 Bunce Drive, was arrested on a charge of violation of a protective order after police found him at a Motel 6 on Hartford Turnpike with Kelly Ouimette-Martinez, who has a full no-contact protective order against him. He was held in lieu of $25,000 bond and arraigned on July 30 in Superior Court.

July 28

James Trudeau, no given age, of 2-4 Pearl St., #8, was arrested at 5:22 p.m. for trespassing at 79 East Center St.

Perry Cabral, of Coventry, was arrested at 6:30 p.m. at 239 East Middle Turnpike following a report of a disturbance. He was charged with first-degree burglary, breach of peace, criminal mischief, and criminal trespass. He was released on a $25,000 non-surety bond and is due in court on Aug. 9.

Zachary Cabral, of West Hartford, was arrested at 2:54 p.m. following a disturbance. He was charged with two counts of breach of peace, first-degree burglary, criminal trespass, and threatening. He was released on a $25,000 bond and is due in court on Aug. 9.

July 27

Byron W. Castonguay, no given age, of Vernon, was arrested on one count each of breach of peace after police say he was shining a laser pointer at the mall.

Antwan Loftly, no given age, of Hartford was charged with violation of a protective order and operating a motor vehicle under suspension. He was released on a $5,000 bond and was due in court on July 30.

July 26

Robert Works, no given age, of New Haven, was arrested at 2:22 p.m. after police responded to reports of suspicious activity outside the Barnes & Noble store at the Buckland Hills Mall. Works admitted to police that he had engaged in “voyeuristic activity,” and he was charged with one count of breach of peace. He was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond, and is due in court on Aug. 9.

Michael E. Johnson, no given age, of 345 Buckland Hills Drive, was arrested at 6:30 p.m. on two outstanding warrants charging him with first-degree failure to appear. Bond on each warrant was set at $15,000, and he is due to appear in Superior Court on Aug. 9.

Shawn Olvera, no given age, of 96 North St., was arrested at 7:21 p.m. at the CVS at 241 West Middle Turnpike after police say he tried to obtain drugs with a fraudulent prescription. He was charged with illegal possession of narcotics, possession within 1500 feet of a school, and illegal possession of prescription drugs.

Donna Hayes, no given age, of 82 Queens Court, Unit G, was arrested following a domestic incident between a mother and daughter. She was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault, and released on a $25,000 non-surety bond. She was arraigned in Superior Court on July 27.

Christopher Angeli, no given age, of Vernon, turned himself in to the Manchester Police Department on warrants charging him with second-degree assault, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct. He was released on a $10,000 bond and was arraigned in Superior Court later that day.
