Manchester Police Investigating Crashes in which Cop, Pole Were Hit

MANCHESTER, CT — Police are investigating how an officer was hit by a car on Saturday evening.

And right after that crash, another driver hit a pole.

According to a Fox 61 report, the officer was at a traffic stop near the intersection of Main and Wells streets just after 8 p.m.

The officer was struck crossing the street, according to Fox 61.

About a half-hour later, Police had to chase down the driver after it hit another car and a pole, Fox 61 reported.

The accident happened near Manchester Country Club at about 8:25 p.m. Saturday.
