Manchester Police Kick off Seat Belt Enforcement Campaign
Local police have begun an extensive seat belt enforcement campaign.

MANCHESTER, CT — The Manchester Police Department has begun Click it or Ticket enforcement checkpoints and roving patrols tat will run between Monday and June 3 as part of the statewide Click-it-or-Ticket initiative.
Monday's efforts were at Cemetery Road off Spencer Street.
The extra patrols consist of officers from Metro Traffic Services, a regional police unit, and are funded through State and Federal highway safety grants.

In addition to the safety belt checkpoints, officers are patrolling in marked and unmarked vehicles and will be issuing fines of $92 to anyone found in violation of the seat belt laws.
