Manchester Police Letter Thanks Community for 'Generosity'

MANCHESTER, CT - The Manchester police department is publicly thanking residents for what officers say has been a constant outpouring of support in light of shootings and incidents aimed at police.

Here is an open letter to the community from the police chief:

To The Manchester Community:

On behalf of the Manchester Police Department, please accept our sincere thank you for your generosity. During these challenging times, we take comfort knowing how deeply our community cares and is thinking of us.

Manchester police spokesman Capt. Christopher Davis said gestures of support have included numerous baked goods, cards and flowers dropped off at police headquarters.
