MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester police have made several arrests in connection with a rash of vandalism incidents.

The arrests were made Tuesday and involved three juveniles and one adult, police said Wednesday morning.

Police said the incidents took place this month and involved "multiple incidents of vandalism to motor vehicles," most of which were slashed tires.

The damage was inflicted during overnight hours, police said.

On Tuesday night, officers on the midnight shift located a group of four in the area of Walker and Franklin streets after a resident complained about suspicious activity, according to a report.

The four were released, but, a short time later, four people matching their descriptions showed up on the Neighbors app slashing tires, according to a report. The Manchester Police Department recently partnered with the Neighbors App, which is a feature of Ring that allows registered users to share suspicious activities.

Detectives then tracked them back down and arrested them, a report indicates.

The adult in the group was identified as 19-year-old Leon Johnson of Manchester.

All four were charged with third-degree criminal mischief and conspiracy to commit criminal mischief in the third degree. Johnson is scheduled to appear in court on July 16.
