Manchester Receives Excellence In Finance Reporting Award
Manchester has received major recognition for how it handles its finances.

MANCHESTER, CT — The Town of Manchester has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for its annual comprehensive annual report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2021.
"We are proud to receive the GFOA Excellence in Financial Reporting Certificate. It is a direct reflection of our dedication to financial transparency and I'm so proud of our team's excellent work,” Manchester Director of Finance Kim Lord said.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.
