MANCHESTER, CT — A popular restaurant at the Buckland Hills mall is handing out "food kits" to the community on Thursday.
The event is slated for noon to 5 p.m. Maggie McFly's and regional produce distributor Freshpoint are teaming up to offer "Essentials Kits" to keep families supplied during the coronavirus pandemic.
"Not only are we currently facing a health crisis most of us have never seen before, but our communities are also facing a financial crisis. With so many out of work, and funds in such short supply, we want to do whatever we can to help lessen the burden until conditions and lives can return to a more normal state," said Ray Harper, Maggie McFly's founder and owner.
