Manchester Revaluation Information Sessions Scheduled
It's time again for property revaluation.

MANCHESTER, CT — Town officials have scheduled a pair of presentations on the current revaluation process.
They are both slated for the Lincoln Center Hearing Room on Thursday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. and on Thursday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m.
Municipal staff members will explain the revaluation process, provide a timeline of Manchester's revaluation, discuss revaluation information and take questions from the public, town official said.

Both meetings will cover the same information, so it is not necessary to attend both meetings, town officials said.
In accordance with state law, Manchester is conducting a real property revaluation for the Grand List of Oct. 1, 2016. The revaluation will correspond to the tax bills that will be due beginning in July 2017, town officials said.

The 2016 revaluation will be an "update revaluation," often referred to as a “statistical” revaluation, that does not require that every property be physically visited, like in 2011. Revaluation staff, however, will be visiting Manchester properties that have sold or will be to a new owner between April 1, 2015 and Oct. 1, 2016, as well as other properties where information needs to be updated, town officials said.
