Manchester Road Race Introducing Limited Drug Testing
Manchester Road Race officials announced a testing program on Monday.

MANCHESTER, CT ―The 81st edition of the Manchester Road Race will feature limited drug testing, race officials said on Monday at the annual Earl Yost pre-event news conference.
The 81st Manchester Road Race will start at 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 23). The 4.748-mile race starts and finishes on Main Street in Manchester, in front of St. James Church. It features a stacked field of world- and national-class runners.
Manchester Road Race Committee President Dr. Tris Carta said the testing will be done in conjunction with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency .

USADA representatives will randomly select three members from both the men's and women's field for the testing.
Carta said the race has always been clean, but stressed the random testing is an effort "to make it even better."
