Manchester School Community Mourning Loss Of 15-Year-Old Former Student
A 15-year-old former student in the Manchester public school system has died from complications to an illness, school officials said.

MANCHESTER, CT — A former student in the Manchester public school system has died of complications from an illness, school officials said Monday.
Camilla Lagos died on March 12 at the age of 15, school system officials said. The family reached out to local school officials and Manchester Superintendent of Schools Matt Geary sent out a heartfelt letter to the school community Monday.

"Dear Members of the Manchester Public Schools Community,
I am sad to report that we recently received the news that Camilla Lagos, a former Manchester Public School student, passed away unexpectedly on March 12th. Her mother, Karina Flores Vizcardo, reached out to former teachers and shared that she had been battling pneumonia in the hospital and succumbed to sepsis.

"Camilla attended Manchester schools from kindergarten through 8th grade. She attended Robertson, then Bennet, then Illing and at every stage made great friends and is remembered for her talents, charisma and scholarship. The family moved last summer to Pennsylvania, where Camilla attended Blue Mountain Academy, where she served as president of the freshman class.
