Manchester State Rep Reappointed House Chair Of Banking Committee
The announcement was made Thursday.

HARTFORD, CT — Speaker of the House Matt Ritter (D-Hartford) and House Majority Leader Jason Rojas (D-East Hartford, Manchester) announced the reappointment of State Rep. Jason Doucette (D-Glastonbury, Manchester) as House Chair of the Banking Committee.
"Jason is a natural when it comes to navigating complex issues through the legislative process," Speaker Ritter said. "Banking laws and regulations impact families and businesses equally and Jason wants all voices heard."
Rojas said, "I've had the privilege of serving closely with Rep. Doucette in the Manchester delegation, and I see first-hand how passionate he is about this work. As chair, Rep. Doucette has worked diligently to ensure a robust, fair, and accessible banking system for our state. I’m glad to see him continuing in this role and am confident he’ll continue building upon these efforts."

Doucette said he remains up for the challenge.

Doucette, who is an attorney, was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2018 and just secured his third term in November. In addition to the Banking Committee, he also serves on the Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committee and the Judiciary Committee.
