Manchester Truck Driver Involved In Fatal Crash In New Hampshire

He escaped the accident with minor injuries, police said.

RUMNEY, NH - A Manchester man was involved in a fatal crash on Wednesday, New Hampshire state police said.

The accident took place at 10:23 a.m. at the intersection of state Route 25 and School Street in Rumney, police said.

A preliminary, on-scene investigation revealed that a 2002 Dodge Neon being operated by Shannon Nadeau, 17, of Rumney, NH, had been traveling eastbound on School Street when her vehicle came to a stop at the intersection of School Street and Route 25, police said.

Nadeau's vehicle proceeded through the intersection and into the path of a 2012 Hino box truck traveling westbound on Route 25, police said.

The Neon and the truck collided, police said.

The operator of the truck, Lawrence Kies, 56, of Manchester, CT, suffered minor injuries in the crash and was transported to Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth, NH to be treated.

Nadeau ADEAU was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.

The crash is still being investigated, police said.
