Manchester Woman Accused of Stealing Glasses From Vernon Vision Store: Cops

She was caught on a security camera, police said.

VERNON, CT — A Manchester Woman is accused of stealing two sets of eyeglasses from a Vernon vision store, police said.

And as a result, the 31-year-old is due in Rockville Superior Court on Nov. 29 to address a fifth-degree larceny charge, police said.

At 3:48 p.m. on Nov. 16, officers were sent to Visual Perceptions, 348 Hartford Turnpike, to investigate a shoplifting complaint, according to an arrest report.

The woman had given the staff her contact information, but then left the store without paying for two sets of glasses, according to an arrest report. Security footage showed her concealing the glasses and leaving the store, according to an arrest report.

The glasses were valued at $695, according to an arrest report.
